Role within 5G-VICTORI​

Intracom Telelecom will contribute to the use CDN and smart energy metering requirements, as well as with specifications for the wireless backhaul support of the 5G-VICTORΙ use cases that will be run on the 5G-VINNI infrastructure in Patras facility site. Contributions will be made for the integration of the use cases (vCDN components. application level components as MEC hosted VNFs), including slicing operations. Intracom Telelecom  will support the Media as well as the energy and Infrastructure Asset monitoring services. Finally, wireless backhaul support for the 5G-VICTORI use cases by leveraging and extending, based on the use case needs, the 5G-VINNI infrastructure in Patras facility site. Moreover, Intracom Telelecom will integrate, validate and support the field trial operations in the case of the Media Services, with a particular focus on vCDN primitives at the MEC-level. Moreover, Intracom Telelecom will contribute to the integration efforts of the Smart Energy Metering use case.

Experience

Intracom Telelecom is a telecommunications vendor and system integrator with a long international presence. Intracom Telelecom’s wide solution portfolio includes a full-service content delivery network commercial solution, namely fs|CDN™, for the realization of live (adaptive) streaming/TV services, including mobile platform support. At the same time, Intracom Telelecom has a long track record in research with participation in numerous EU research projects, and a presence in the 5G PPP efforts throughout all phases. Within these research projects Intracom Telelecom has also developed significant expertise on the domain of NFV/MEC MANO, with a particular focus on content distribution services, coupling this way its commercial activities, both on the CDN and the NFV/Virtualization domains. It is also important to note the participation of Intracom Telelecom in the core set of partners establishing the Patras (Greece) 5G-VINNI site, to be employed by 5G-VICTORI. This is expected to provide valuable experience with the specificities of the testbed, which will be contributed to 5G- VICTORI. In all, Intracom Telelecom’s combined industrial/commercial and research experience and expertise, is expected to fulfil the demanding requirements of the project.
